Watch your tone

The tone of your voice is crucial when you train your dog. At all times your tone should be friendly, not harsh. For more authoritative commands like 'sit', 'stay' and 'heel', your tone should be firmer yet still friendly. If you don't know how you sound, try getting a friend to judge for you.
